I have bought 3 of these straighteners in the past year and a half and every one of them has stopped working after just a few months. I sent the last one in for repair at the cost of shipping on my part PLUS another $35 (after I paid close to $100 for the first two) and the new flat iron died again after just 5-6 months. I’m definitely switching brands because although the Chi flat iron works well when it works, it just doesn’t last. Very frustrating.
This is my third Chi straigtening iron. I love this product. I accidentally broke my first one, bought a second one, and when my daughter kept stealing mine for herself, bought the third. Anyone who has hard to manage hair should own one of these. It works for caucasion or african-american hair. Highly recommended.
I was told about the Farouk Chi by my sister who is a hair dresser. I bought it and absolutely love it! I couldn’t do without it now. It beats a curling iron. I wish I’d done this years ago.
I loved buying Amazon until I purchased this product from them. It worked great until it broke 6 months after I bought it. I contacted Amazon but unfortunately its not warrantied through them or the manufacterer. That really sucks. I bought a cheap flat iron before this CHI that cost me $50.00 and it lasted years. I don’t recommend the CHI to anyone. This was my first CHI and the last one.
I have very long hair (a little below my chest) and have been using a similar low-priced revlon flat iron from walmart for a long time. I used my friends CHI at a youth conference a few months ago and fell in love! When I went back to my cheap walmart flat iron it just wasn’t the same. Once you go Chi you can’t go back! Anyways Amazon had the best price by far and now my hair looks AMAZING. Shiny silky smooth and it seriously looks like I belong in a shampoo commercial. aw I am so happy!
